Bought office mac, why when Openoffice is just as good for free.

about a year and a half ago and installed it on my three macs. Today I spilled a glass of water on my mac and wiped it out. Went and bought another mac and wanted to use Office but had already used my three licenses. Tried Microsoft Chat twice but never connected. Tried leaving my number, they promised to call, first in 19 minutes, then in 12 minutes but never called. Finally called them, took a while but got someone, must have been in india, asked how to deactivate the dead computer so I could install it on my new one, put me on hold for 5 minutes, when she came back she said they could do that, I would have to give them control of my computer for an hour and a half and they could install it for a small one time fee. I asked how much $199!!!!! Yes a lot more then it cost. Thanks Microsoft help, that's big help, obviously they have made help a profit center with the goal to rip off customers.

My rocket science son got on my computer and downloaded Open office which works fine on all my microsoft files and is free. Will never buy MSFT again (tried windows 8, what a joke).

End of story I went online and downloaded Office, plugged in my product code and it worked fine.

Guess MSFT help is the real big rip off, nice way to treat customers.

Getting ready to short this pig once the momentum is out of the stock, of course I hear they are going to the cloud, LOL yeah they are cutting edge.
