dividend increase?
my broker told me the dividend was supposed to increase from .045 cents to .075 cents beginning in April.
Did anyone else hear this????
It's the first I heard and there is no mention on the website or no release from the company.

joe - hope you got rid of your broker. It's 2 months after April and we are still @ .045.

Speculating on what a board will do is a never ending game with Brokers. Many REITs have increased their dividends recently so an increase from IGR is not out of the question, but I do not see the balance sheet supporting a 40% increase in the payout.

I would be happy just to see the current distribution paid with zero return of capital.

that's a real dumb comment for your broker to say. That would be inside information because only the Board of Directors decide on what the div would be and then back it up with a press release. If your knucklehead of a broker said that to you, you need to change brokers fast or your gonna lose your shirt using that dope. Or, you are just "BS"ng all here just to pump the stock up!
And to think that the Board would go from .045 to .075 is also a dumb thing to say. I cannot imagine they would jump to .03 right off the bat in a div increase based on the status of the real estate industry right now, even globally speaking, IMHO.- 1 Reply to the.gunks33

Don't disagree with your conclusion re the broker advice. However, I think there will be an increase in the divident sometime in the 2nd/3rd quarter and given that the dividend was cut from .11 to .045 in 08 I would not be surprised with an increase of more than .03. CRE is increasing in value and bodes well long term. JMO
