Which would you rather have: meet revenue and earn 23 cents per share; or, miss revenue and earn 26 cents a share? Seems like a no-brainer to me. The market is trying to make this more complicated than it is and read something into the numbers that is not there. KISS (Keep it Simple)--It is the bottom line that counts. Do not try to reinvent the wheel on arithmetic--2 plus 2 equals four (always has and always will). People somehow try to claim that now-a-days 2 plus 2 equals three and then they offer some convoluted argument as to why it equals three. Get a grip.
So the revenue was slightly lower...we are in a recession...ALL revenues are lowered! They still made their target and eventually when the economy picks up they will have a huge earnings momentum swing to the upside and beat in revenues.
