GE exiting the TLGP is smart!

The GECC split will only come through if the new reform gets passed. That is a big IF and not only that it could take another year before some form of it gets passed. In addition, GE legal would appeal for grandfathering GE itself and probably wont happen. GE is also reducing its toxic asets to a point where it is no longer a "tier 1" bank. This in conjunction with taking a 5 year transition to do this...dont hold your breath...it aint happening.

    • Once again, I am puzzled by the Barclays statement yesterday. Question arises: Who and what prompted them to do that so blatantly? It definitely appears to be designed to mislead investors and may have been a deliberate act that should be treated as criminal if so. This episode just leaves a sour test in the mouth of those who believe we are a civilized society and leads them to believe that our society is still full of crooks who are blessed by the world's most powerful government!! What a shame!! Aren't the guys at Barclays apologetic? Where is that lady Mary Schapiro?
