January, I am not sure. I am pretty comfortable we will se a 10% pop by Friday. Look at the trading activityin the week prior to and the week following the GE Capital updates. Also, look at the activity within a couple weeks of options close (go back a full year). I am expecting a pop of a buck and a half a share, roughly 17.50. The stars are aligned. You have dividend news this week. Coupled with more government spending, this spells movement. Thanks for the fun post. Its nice to see post stock posts as opposed to impotent whinings from the left and the right (somebody else is always responsible for their lot in life...it can't be their ignorance or anything)
Unless earnings estimates increase I see GE fairly valued at 14 to 15 dollars. Earnings estimates for 2009 and 2010 are less than $1. GE capital still has a cloud over it. The dividend is was cut by more than two thirds and Jeff is still the CEO. Wish I could see something more positive in the cards but unless management changes I don't see anything to be positive.
