so Mr. I-Want-to-Pay-More-Taxes owes $1 BILLION (with a B) in back taxes and is fighting to avoid payment
A Hell-of-a-Loophole: Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway,Owes $1 Billion In Back Taxes
The spokesman for the I want to pay more taxes campaign has a perfect opportunity to make himself very happy. Apparently his company Berkshire Hathaway is fighting the IRS over payment of back taxes totaling around $1,000,000,000 (that's one billion dollars for people who don't like to count zeros).
Just a few weeks ago the Billionaire friend of Obama, wrote an op-ed in the NY Times urging our government to stop coddling the super-rich and support Obama's position that the rich should pay more taxes. At the time many people urged Buffett to start with himself and pay some extra-taxes on his own. Before he adds from his personal account he can urge Berkshire Hathaway to stop fighting the IRS and pay the billion.
Americans for Limited Government (ALG) found out about the protracted fight in Berkshire Hathaway’s own annual report, embedded below see Note 15 on pp. 54-56 — the company has been in a years-long dispute over its federal tax bills.
Warren Buffett: "I don't feel like I pay enough in taxes" 2 months ago
Warren Buffett: "I owe HOW MUCH?? No way I am taking this to Court" Today!!
Oh what a contrast watch what people DO not what they say!!!!
The idiot in the white house says buffet sectary pays more than him Percentage wise these people are stone faced liers!Buffet is talking about tax on income and the sec is talking federal tax.its a shame you libs let this slip by you.I though even a lib could see through a bald faced lie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO WONDER he feels like he doesn't pay enough taxes WARREN doesn't even pay what he owes.......and now he is fighting paying that in COURT!!! I thought he wanted to pay MORE taxes.......why fight it Warren this is your perfect opportunity to pay 2 billion instead of one!!!
Since the wealthy elitists worship the dollar so much why don't they start a church where they can go to worship the almighty dollar. God can't compete with the dollar. God can't deliver when the dollar can. Buffet is a poor surrogate for Obama to follow. They're a partnership made in hell. I wouldn't follow those two anywhere even if they payed me too! I can think of much better role models then them two.
Yes, Buffett is a shareholder in Berkshire-Hathaway. It happens to be the Mutual Fund Company that is contesting the $1 billion dollars in back taxes. Get your facts straight. Yes, the super rich should be willing to pay more taxes. After all, they are not the ones with family members in the military that is protecting the rest of us. It is the lower middle class and the poor that make up a large percentage of the military personnel.
He is like other very rich such as the Kennedys who feel guilty for amassing huge fortunes. Then they decide that to serve the public the underlings need to be taxed heavily for social programs. However, they do not want anyone touching their wealth. Then they praise themselves for being such good and proper people.
