Well ... actually it's been going on for as long as there have been politicians, and once again it's going to be front and center for the upcoming midterm elections.
The Democrats have absolutely nothing of their own to highlight for these elections. They're afraid to campaign on ObamaCare, and they simply can't campaign on what they've done for the economy. An economy growing at 1.6% and unemployment approaching 10% aren't high on lists of things you can brag about. The war in Afghanista - which has bee called "Obama's War" is going badly and many Americans expect to see the Taliban in complete control before Obama's term is over.
So .. what's left?
Wealth envy, that's what. There always have been, and there always will be people who are consumed with jealousy over people who have more than they. Let's see if I can make this short and sweet ... just why do these people feel the way they do?
Some people pursue knowledge, work hard and pay attention to decision-making. They become wealthy. Others squander their education, work 40 hours a week and no more, and make stupid decision. They don't become wealthy. The people who have failed to do what it takes to become wealthy look at those who have succeeded and adopt an attitude something like this:
"That guy is rich and I'm not. He can't be richer than me because he works harder than I do. I work hard. He's no better than I am, but he's rich. He must have gotten rich by exploiting people like me. He probably cheats on his taxes and has a bunch of crooked lawyers that help him get away with it. That's it! The only way he got rich is by being crooked, and the only reason I'm not rich is because I wasn't willing to break the rules like he did. I'm honest and he's not. I play by the rules. So it's only fair that the government should make things right by taking some of his ill-gotten games away from him and spreading that money among honest people like me."
The only difference between the rich and the poor is PLANNING ... basically the libs and poor have no patience or foresight for that ... the rich plan their career and finances for the next decade and beyond, while the liberal and poor plan theirs for the weekend, at best.
50 bucks a month compounded becomes 1 million in just 30 years with a good mutual fund. Anyone can become a millionaire in America.
Some people are rich due to their own hard work and good ideas. Some people are rich because daddy got them a high paying job in the company. Some people are rich because they are good at kissing a$$. I say good for the ones who worked hard and played by the rules and became rich. For all the rest, I have no respect for.
