Actually, I intended to use that provision to add my 24 year old in college to my policy. Blue Cross told me it was cheaper to get him his own insurance and that's what I did. Cost me $69 a month for his policy, $500 deductible, doctor visits for something like a $35 copay and prescriptions for a $10 copay on generics, etc. One other benefit is free well check-up yearly up to $500, no deductible. I am one that prefers to pay for my own insurance and hae the government out of my affairs.
