With Zillions of shares outstanding it sure costs a bundle when/if GE increases its dividned! Also a lot harder for GE to better their EPS by very much, that actually could help their stock price the most. Very high labor costs, Zillions of shares outstanding, and stuck-in-the-mud forever!
I have expected an increase in divy for a while, but realistically with the company buying back $4-5 Billion in shares this Fall, it only makes sense to see the divy increase announced in December. If it is less than $0.12 annually, I will be very disappointed. Long time holder of this stock, so I have enjoyed the dividends immensely.
