I don't think there is a heck of a lot we can do about it. -
All you hear on the news these days is 'obesity'. They report that 65% of Americans are overweight. The idiot gov't has the simple solution in its hands to correct this. The spineless politicians will not do what is necessary. Idiots like NYC mayor's solution is to stop the sale of large sodas.
Now think a little. The solution so simple. First thing is for the gov't to STOP the food stamp program; Second; stop welfare; Third; Raise the taxes on EVERYONE to 75%. Enforce these 3 steps for at least 18 months and I guarantee you that 99% of the American people will be slim and trim ready to run marathons.

The green solution would be to give everyone asking for a handout a treadmill with an electricity generator and a meter on it. Pay them by the KWH.
