Secondly, when a president wants to go to war, any politician who doesn't agree is immediately jumped on by his opposition as 'soft on terrorism' or 'unpatriotic'. The Republicans have always been able to push the Democrats around on this one. This time around we heard the word 'appeaser' over and over, even from people who apparently had no idea what it meant.
Third, if you look at the wording of the resolution, it authorizes Bush to invade 'if necessary'. Bush KNEW it wasn't necessary, the whole thing was based on lies
