Think of the savings!
The government knows what's best for me.
They know how much money I should make.
They will determine my health care coverage.
They will deduct money from my pacheck and promise to give it back to me when I am old, however they spend it carelessly.........and then will tell me I don't qualify anymore to get my money.
The government always knows best. They are smarter than me and know how best to run my life.
Wingnuts do not care what the reality is. All they care about is what they feel should be true....the Colbert effect.
If it does not sound right to them then it must not be right even if you have a mountain of evidence to support your position.
mountain of lies, aah?
it would work if they dropped the prices of everything to that level. Hopefully they will.
This is better even than slave labor. A slave has to be fed, clothed, and housed which is expensive. The employee will be all on his own.
Think of the facts, not just the savings. How idiotic it is for the gov't and its idiot legislators to believe they know how much an employer should pay its employees. This is an area they know absolutely nothing about. Back in 1935 the supreme court ruled that MW was legal, but not smart. MW causes: increase in the cost of living; increase in taxes; reduces employment; drives jobs overseas; creates more poor people.
MW drives those on fixed incomes at a rapid rate to abject poverty. It is a shame gov't raises MW for workers and allows fixed income seniors to starve.
Get rid of those idiots that want to raise the MW.
So what you're saying is that MW worker would be better off in government.
little overboard but raising it 20% cuts jobs 20%. oh thats what dems want i forgot. more to blame on the repubs. so easy.
Jack it to $25 an hour...........good for the poor and good for the economy.
No, wait, I know what's best for everyone else, let's jack it to $50 an hour.
That's got to be even better.
"but raising it 20% cuts jobs 20%"
I know that sounds reasonable to people but there is no evidence to support it. In fact, what evidence there is shows that raising the minimum wage have little to no negative impact on employment. It helps poor people so the republicans do not like it but saying it costs jobs is just not reflected in reality.
