Rich might have paid a bit more but their increase in wealth is also at record high, way outstripping everyone else. So what if they paid a bit more, they are still paying a lot less in percentage terms.
It should be. They made all the money during the recession in case you didn't know. Plus, Romney exposed that most of them pay a lower effective tax rate than those in the middle class. The rich still get a tax break because the brackets leading up to the new tax bracket were kept in place.
Yep ... like that extreme "taker", Romney ... 100% "UNearned" income at 0-13% taxes ... one of the best tax-evaders ... and most of his investments are in foreign countries ... yet he enjoys all the benefits here ... what a deadbeat!!!
The Dividend rate is or was 15%, so after charitable deductions...13% or whatever he paid sounds completely plausible. Just how is it tax evasion to pay what the government requires? Do you pay more than the income tax you owe, I bet you scrounge for every last deduction like every other human being does....Hypocrite.
