WASHINGTON (AP) - The Republican Party's strategy for winning future presidential elections looks hazier than ever as the GOP and the Tea Party reject what many political experts consider obvious lessons from Mitt Romney's loss last November.
House Republicans are rebelling against key recommendations of a party-sanctioned post mortem: embrace "comprehensive immigration reform" or suffer the most crippling loses among the fastest growing number of voters in American history, the Hispanic voter.
And despite the extremely poor showing for Romney among female voters, House Republicans just this past week invited renewed Democratic taunts of a "War Against Women" by passing the most restrictive abortion measure in years.
And despite corporate fears of economic damage that would result from a default on U.S. obligations, GOP lawmakers are threatening to block an increase in the government's borrowing limit later this year.
As it stands today, many Republicans, especially the Tea Party flatly refuse and change advice to win future elections.
But Sen. Lindsey Graham R-S.C., said Republicans are fooling themselves. If Hispanics "Believe that your ultimate goal is to deport their grandmother and you've got a hard heart about this kind of stuff," Graham said. "your economic ideas don't resonate with them and you will soon be history."
"It's impossible winning the presidency getting just 27 percent of the Hispanic vote, 30 percent of the Asian vote, 7 percent of the African-American, or 6 percent of the gay-American vote", Graham said. "America is changing and they are leaving the Republican Party in the dust bin of American history"
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Unlike the monolithic totalitarian Democratic party, :Republicans are allowed to have ideas, other than those of the party leadership. In the Democratic party, it is you obey your leaders. Of course Democrat don't mind, as it is to difficult for them to think, so obeying is easier.
republicans will die are a result of having no positions aside from gov't mandated vaginal probes and clear hatred of the majority of Americans. Republicans have peed on President Reagan's grave too much.
Like my fellow Republicans with multiple aliases like drwsting and naples we have a strategy of posting insanity all day and night. It's not really about a Republican strategy to win elections, but more like seeing how much attention we can muster up to fulfill our worthless days of doing nothing all day and night.
