This one is hard to believe. When I was rather young, married, working for just a reasonable income, I tried to buy some health insurance. The agent sat with me and explained all the benefits I would receive with the policy. When we got to the 'pay' part, we discussed my income. This was the shocking part. He stood up and said bill you do not have enough income to afford a policy that will cover your needs. He suggested that I put in a savings acc't as much of the premium I could afford each month. I did. With in a couple of years I was way ahead of my health cost paying for it my self rather than insurance.
I really admired this salesman. I do not believe any other salesman would have done this. Their goals is to make money.
