1. Pass law to eliminate "debt ceiling" approvals - it is absurd to "approve" paying bills that are already approved ... debt levels are addressed during the budget process.
2. People that hate government should not run for government - if you hate children, do not teach ... if you hate numbers, do not become an accountant, etc.
3. Remove "tea" party extremists by "primaring" them from the CENTER, financed by business leaders - do not entrust economic policy to know-nothings who think "raising a family" qualifies them more than being an economics expert.
4. Institute incentive pay systems for congress ... pay based on results ... e.g., pass a bi-partisan budget, get a $150,000 bonus ... name post offices, get zero ... shut the government, forfeit $25,000 per day.
Common sense, n'est ce pas?
---Why do Libtards think credit card companies put limits on individual's cards?--------
Actually, two different issues....
Credit card companies base that on the ability to pay ................our 'debt ceiling' is a political tool and has nothing to do with the ability of the US government to pay its debts.
The "debt ceiling" is a stupid idea to begin with. If Congress passes bills that spend money, it should be assumed that Congress intends to pay the debts incurred as a result of those bills.
All good ideas.
