AUQ brings new mines on stream. It has the cash. Phoenix, RBY, has begun to ramp up to production.
GG has to be sitting there wondering what to do about RBY. AUQ needs to move out of Mexico, and all it has is Kemess Underground to work on.Phoenix is the perfect match to Davidson for plant crushing and chemistry, all ramped up at Young Davidson, now ramp up Phoenix. Sort of a white knight deal against GG, 1980's junk bond style. Difference is cash, not junk bonds.
Yes, that would be a good merger. How much do you figure, AUQ is worth in a buyout? 12 to 14?
Since both AUQ/RBY are in active shopping mode, just seems natural.
NGD seems to have it's plate full? RBY does have better hard rock geologists, but not for the reason most people think, they are given different instructions than say a NEM geologists.
Would love to see NGD merger, but AUQ has the cash and cooperation to buy RBY. After all that hostile Ian Telfar, GG stuff it is not going like that again at RBY. Some one sent AEM packing, who was that?
