    Definition please

yes..a heritage stock is one that if you own it long enough for the story to be realized you literally make an impact on your own personal wealth or the wealth of your future generations ...For instance...HD, CSCO, Coke etc...the kind of business that is built over a 10yr+ time horizon...people along the way say this thing is way too rich ,overvalued etc...but the underlying strength of the business works and the market cap of a company goes from under 500mil in market values to in excess of 10 billion...TSCO is still only valued at close to 1billion. In 5 yrs TSCO should be doing 3-5 Billion a yr in sales. When this story is written..IF they can carve out a niche( i think they will but may most likely be bought by a HD type)...a category owner/killer can command a huge mkt cap...What Im saying is this stock could still increase by 10 to 15 times in value..but you have to let it go..The key is to not let it represent more that 10% of your portfolio..but someday you will be upside down crazy with it and it will be worth a million or more.
