It will be a cold day in Hell before I

buy a product made by VF Corp.

Bill Gates just saved over $30 million in capital gains taxes over the last 2 weeks thanks to the new tax law. He has been selling MSFT stock like a bandit now that he only has to pay 15% instead of the 38% before George W. Bush and his wealthy welfare, I mean new tax plan went into existence, while 10's of thousands of VF employees are out of work! Not to pick on Bill Gates, but it illustrates the point that something is wrong with things in DC. The jobs that have been lost will not easily be replaced, if at all. The problem is that we are selling the US to the "lowest bidder." How can companys pay $10, $20 or more per hour to US workers when they can get the same production and only pay $10 a day! The biggest problem is that not only are the "blue collar" jobs leaving the country, but the high tech jobs are gone too. Call a customer support for your computer and ask the person where they are. I'll bet you they are in bangladesh or malaysia or india. They sure as hell aren't in the good ole US of A, but the good ole US of A is paying their salaries.

Mack McDonald (MM), the CEO, is only concerned with how much he can make for himself ($2.8 million in base pay alone last year, not including bonus & stock options) and he doesn't give 2 shits about the workers who made all his wealth possible. The best part is that all the moves he's making will eventually bankrupt the company because Levi's is selling all of his customers, the new queen latifah line is only going to cannibalize the existing VF lingerie products already sold at the same retail stores & Nautica is going to cost $millions and $millions to try and get the consumer to think that it is a high end brand when it is an old washed up clothing line. MM tells us that Nautica will open new department stores for the companys other products. Geez, don't you think that if the department stores wanted the other products so much, they would already be selling them. It's a crock of shit. Real pie in the sky.

My guess is that we will see some more insider selling real soon, while the stock is still nice and high! Oh yea, just like Bill Gates, MM will enjoy a 25% tax savings on all his stock sales too! How was that severance package for all those who got laid off in the last 18 months? Just wait until that health insurance runs out! I'll bet that the total for all those fired won't equal the package that MM and his cronies are getting for raping an american Icon!!! 2,000 more fired this week!!!

I think the people fired and those still employed need to stand up and be heard. Why not start striking the VF products that are made at all the new, cheap overseas plants. I'd start with Wal-mart, k-mart, and target. Let's see what kind of job security MM and his money grubbing cronies have when nobody is buying Lee & Wrangler jeans.

It's not too late to make a difference! I haven't noticed a difference in the price of jeans at the stores since the company gave away all the jobs to foreigners, have you? Seems like I paid the same price before, only now we are subsidising those who can't find new work and worse, we are paying for foreign governments to build up their countries while ours gets financially weaker. It's not right and it's not too late to make a difference. It will be a cold day in hell before I buy a product made by VF Corp. Who's with me?!!!
