Didn't they say that Brent and Sam's did about 25 million a year in revenue? Well, divide that by 4 equals over 6 million per quarter...
(8.4% increae minus 6.6% equal's 1.8%...so, Brent and Sam's made up 1.8% of TOTAL REVENUE FOR THE QUARTER...200 million times 2% equals 4 MILLION...is that the number of Brent and Sam's revenue for the quarter?
Is so, 16.6 million increase of revenue for the quarter minus 13 million for price increases minues 4 million for Brent and Sam's and YOU HAVE A MINUS .4 IN REVENUE...)
THAT WOULD LEAVE A MINUS OF 2.4 MILLION OF REVENUE TAKING AWAY ALL OF THE AGOVE...TEAM LANCE WHICH IS CORRECT?
Regardless of whom they buy, you will not see a change in the Lance organization until they get rid of the Frito mentality that you can whip an employee into selling more. When Lance was strong and growing, the sales team was made up of a hard working team of mules that would plow all day long as long as you treated them right. Management of today has replaced a lot of the mules with thoroughbreds that run a quick quarter mile and leave. Give me a well-trained team of mules any day over a well-trained team of thoroughbreds. The field sales team is starting to seize up like a field mule that is being whipped. You cannot expect a team to hold together if they are constantly watching their fellow teammate being whipped. The same goes with a good team of mules if one is being mistreated the others will since the fear and stop in their tracks. We will never make it to 1 billion by 2010, with out a strong field team.
