Snyder's-Lance, Inc. Message Board

    DRIVER'S NEED TO READ

I keep posting this information for the NEW DRIVER'S and the old one's that finally find this message board. It is worth posting for them.

I would suggest that the COMPANY VEHICLE DRIVER'S read the following CLOSELY:

    >>>In addition, we maintain insurance reserves for the self-funded portions of workers' compensation, auto, product and general liability insurance. Self-insured accruals are based on claims filed and estimated claims incurred but not reported based on historical claims trends.

For casualty insurance obligations, we maintain self-insurance reserves for workers' compensation and auto liability for individual losses up to $0.5 million. In addition, general and product liability claims are self-funded for individual losses up to $0.1 million. We evaluate input from a third-party actuary in the estimation of the casualty insurance obligation on an annual basis. In determining the ultimate loss and reserve requirements, we use various actuarial assumptions including compensation trends, healthcare cost trends and discount rates. We also use historical information for claims frequency and severity in order to establish loss development factors. In 2007, this estimate of loss reserves ranged from $13.3 million to $16.8 million. Consistent with prior periods, the 75th percentile of this range represents our best estimate of the ultimate outstanding casualty liability. We used a 4.5% investment rate in 2007 and 2006 to discount the estimated claims based on the historical payout pattern.<<<

Then, read this part again and again...

    >>>we maintain self-insurance reserves for workers' compensation and auto liability for individual losses up to $0.5 million.<<<

    >>>Insurance Claims
The Company maintains a self-insurance program covering portions of workers’ compensation, automobile, general liability and medical costs. Self-insured accruals are based on claims filed and an estimate of claims incurred but not reported. Workers’ compensation, automobile and general liability costs are covered by standby letters of credit with the Company’s claims administrators. Claims in excess of the self-insured levels are fully insured up to $100 million per individual claim.<<<

You are still an idiot! Just because you SAY that you got hurt on the job you think that the company owes you a living. Well too bad, I'm sure that you got everything that you were entitled to, so why don't you just shut up!
BTW why don't you leave Salem alone? It sounds like to me that you're jealous of the "trust fund" babies. What's the matter? Were your parents not able to leave you anything?

WOW, here’s the old “cut and paste trick once again from sunshine_man101.” (“You are such a BLIVIT, 10 pounds of crap in a 5 gallon bucket!”)

Let me explain a few things to you, and your following.

#1. I am NOT on the board of Lance, Inc., nor have I ever been approached and asked to be on the board.

#2. I am NOT an employee of Lance, Inc. nor have I ever been an employee of Lance, Inc.

#3. I am a common share holder, of which I can thank my Grandfather, the co founder of Lance, Inc., my name sake; “Salem Augustus Van Every.”

#4. I am NOT involved in Lance, Inc. in any manor whatsoever, other than a common shareholder.

#5. Asking me to speak for Lance, Inc. is NOT going to happen, other than say “Go Team Lance!”

#6. I am a shareholder of many companies, Lance, Inc. just happens to be one of them!

#7. You have threatened me with civil action if I did NOT cease and desist my comments about “you, nevertheless, being an ex-employee of Lance, Inc., FIRED because of failure to perform your duties with Lance, Inc. happen to see yourself as a scorned, disgruntled individual who hides behind the anonymity of this blog, spouting what you consider to be words of wisdom, which are actually words of a sick, demented and confused individual, who needs to be on some sort of psychotropic drugs!!! And placed back in a cage where you belong…

      Respectfully,

      Salem

        >>>#2. I am NOT an employee of Lance, Inc. nor have I ever been an employee of Lance, Inc.<<<

Have you ever been employed at all? Maybe, except for the camera business...:) Could you be one those trust fund babies that the second richest man in the country, Mr. Buffet, referred to? He also added that that was one of the biggest problems with certain companies now...

        >>>5. Asking me to speak for Lance, Inc. is NOT going to happen, other than say “Go Team Lance!”<<<

My, my, my Salem; you finally admit that Lance treats you as a step-child with NO power or say so...You used to post that you had the power of the Van I's...yet, when the heat comes on; you run!

        :) We, wee, weee, weee!

        81 million and counting...

      • >>>And placed back in a cage where you belong…<<<

I am FREE now!:) The cage was working for Lance's incompentent management(owner's), poooor marketing, service...

I have seen more GOOD people run off for poor management then anyone could ever hire...Quality manager's would do interview's for other area's; hire some good people; then turn them over to poor manager's and they leave within a year...

Go Team Lance...we, wee, weee, weee...81 million and counting...

Salem, have you ever shorted Lance's stock?

      • :)

LANCE TAUGHT ME EVERYTHING THAT I KNOW!!

Where is your memory? Do I need to post again and again on my departure from Lance? CAN YOU SAY ON-THE-JOB INJURIES?

I think that my last job performance rating says it ALL!

You know what is funny about this thing...the people that was NOT qualified to perform are STILL working for this beat down company! Could that be the reason why?:)

As far as being in a cage...the good olde' boys don't like it when you get them between a rock and a hard spot...:))) You know...the truth! And, apparently YOU can't either...

This Saturday morning carton is turning in a Friday night horror flick...

        We, wee, weee, weee...
