    Salem, China?

really? this is growth? how much (besides just
    thinking about for how long)?

    Growth would of been
better for us if it had been domestic. This is like
saying Lance has the cookie market cornered in Mexico.

    • What about next year? :))

      >>>The Securities and Exchange Commission confirmed plans to cut most companies some slack on when they have to start expensing stock options.<<<

      The Ride continues...

    • >>>Revenue grew 6% from a year ago at Frito-Lay North America, reflecting balanced growth among Lay's, Doritos, Tostitos and Cheetos.<<<

Let's see what Lance's Brand Name growth is? Does anyone see the math on this except me?:)) Frtio growing each quarter for years and Lance declining; even after adding Cape Cod, etc. Time will not be kind to the CTC...but, by then Lexus will be their's as well as their pockets full of options etc...

      >>>In a note to clients, Smith Barney analyst Bonnie Herzog cited her positive outlook for Frito-Lay, saying it has a "sizable opportunity" to expand its non-salty snacks business into new areas like chocolate, candy, crackers and cookies. "The Frito-Lay business continues to outperform, which we expect to continue in 2005," Herzog wrote.<<<

Listen to the CTC's CC calls...pushing the SuperMarket business...read the above and the next time in a Supermarket look at Frito-Lay's presence...go CTC:))) I think you will see that the Supermarket business is their Home Turf.

      The Ride is heating up...

Where is the head asshole in charge these days? Being an ass but not in charge:)

    • Frito-Lay, whose brands include Doritos, Cheetos, Tostitos and Lay's potato chips, accounted for 32 percent of PepsiCo's total revenue of $29.26 billion last year.

Put the pencil to this...over 9 Billion.

Take away Lance's Pl-Contract business, decling routes, etc. and what does Lance Packaging have Salem???:)))

I would say that the Lance Brand will continue to decline and could join Gordon's, etc. in the future...

When Frito means EXPAND; they mean business!!! What about it Mr. Ex-Frito?

      The Ride is heating up...

    • Time will tell:)))

This is really funny:))) If the PL-Private Label business goes elsewhere and the VanI's decide Stroup made a mistake(s) and be rid of him...at a cost of 7 million dollars or more...who get't the last laugh?! Tha...

Salt, if you think the stock is going to $19 again, maybe you should buy some more...it seems that there are plenty to be had:) Do you keeo tabs on the number of outstanding shares? Or, are you just wishing?

      The Ride continues....

    • Sunshine,

That's an interesting table with well over 400,000 shares being bet short. Someone is certainly negative on Lance. The last time there were over 400,000 shares short was Sept 2004. That signaled a rally where Lance rallied over 25% in the next 4 months from $15 to $19.

Guess you've become a cheerleader and are predicting a rally. Right? (-:

    • >>>Just wonder what Phil VanEvery or Joe Logan would think about the operation of Lance today!!<<<

      Lance who? Packaging Company...

The Lance Brand is dieing...nearing closer to deaf every quarter. If you will notice; the DSD sales has been in re-org. for years on a regular basis...downward! Along with this; Brand Name Sales...the trap has been set. Mobil One can do wonder's for only sooooo long.

Question? When things come to a head; will the CTC give back the bonus money and peark's received in the past? :)))))

    • Just wonder what Phil VanEvery or Joe Logan would think about the operation of Lance today!! Old crakerstaker

    • i work for a $7.5 mil vending compeny. the runors
are that i've herd when coke sets a coke machine thay
call lance to put a snack machine is this true ? and
coke will buy lance out. so they can compete with
pepsi co. has any one herd this .we do need more no
      price products or new item's

    • Very well said g.a. Earnings shortfall - big
shocker there. Maybe a so-called "aninformedinvestor" has
an explanation. My guess is that the stock drops a
buck and that's it. No-one really cares that much and
too many people still hold it because of the
      dividend. When will they learn?
