I don't feel like a buyout offer is pending. One publicly-traded company buying another (especially one with so much pending litigation) must take months to work out.
The first detail that Google and VRNG must work out together is what they will settle on outside of court. Only then could a buyout talk be possible. Otherwise, what would they have to base the talk on?
Do you think that they are already talking settlement amounts? If so, then that court date is meaningless.
