After 1979, CIA/NSA TRANSFORMED SAVAK to current Iranian regime secret agencies by ELIMINATING some of those in the know on the 1st days/weeks to bury all the relations of the one under the shah to the ones under the current Iranian regime: SAVAK had the power to censor the media, screen applicants for government jobs, "and according to reliable Western source,[14] use all means necessary, including torture, to hunt down dissidents". [15] The CIA provided SAVAK with lists of Communists to torture and murder. These lists originated with KGB defectors working for the CIA.

Now the quetions are how did Yahoo let Iranian secret agency to ACCESS more than 200,000 Iranian accounts in October 2009? and Was there any relations between above and with letting ON2 Yahoo account, or as some said "most" of Yahoo accounts at that time, loose in October 2009 that make the account holders identification DISPLAY as the HANDLE insted of the given handle-name in the account. One of my hypothesis is that Yahoo let "all" of its account loose in October 2009 and PROVIDE tools to Iranian agents, they can be CIA agents embeded as Yahoo employees, for example, so Iranian agents could SEARCH for the names similars to Iranian and COUNTRY of ORIGIN to find as many as Iranian account to monitor. Google case in giving Iranian Google accounts to Iranian secret agencies a little bit different. Google could use a "crew" of Iranian as its employees working with Ex-Savak, which were notorious Shah hated agents, to provide information in addition washing those agents clean to be INCORPORATED into "new" secret agents under current Iranisan regime. They could use Youtube or any other tools to communicate or pretend as "member" to hide the real activities. Just a thought nothing more!

hat Does Google Do If the Government Comes Looking for Your Emails?
By Rebecca J. Rosen | The Atlantic – 10 hours ago

Every single day, dozens of requests from law-enforcement officials, courts, and other government agencies pour into Google's offices, requesting that Google hand over different pieces of information its users have amassed -- whom they've been communicating with, where they've been communicating from, what they've said.

Google recognizes that many of these requests are legitimate, but it certainly doesn't want to be in the business of rubber-stamping them either. In a post on its official company blog, David Drummond, Google's chief legal officer, spelled out the competing concerns the company is attempting balance: "It's important for law enforcement agencies to pursue illegal activity and keep the public safe. We're a law-abiding company, and we don't want our services to be used in harmful ways. But it's just as important that laws protect you against overly broad requests for your personal information."

Then, once a request has been deemed valid, Google will notify users when possible. Sometimes we can't, either because we're legally prohibited (in which case we sometimes seek to lift gag orders or unseal search warrants) or we don't have their verified contact information," Drummond writes.

ABC News anchor David Muir and his team have traveled to Iran for a special Inside Iran report from the streets of Tehran, revealing the effects of Washington’s tightening sanctions on the country.

Today, we went in search of one of the biggest pharmacies in central Tehran, after hearing that life-saving medicine was running out.

“Right now, we are running low on every kind of medicine,” said Dr. Kheirollah Gholami, who runs the pharmacy.

Those sanctions are affecting everyone because the money flowing in and out of Iran is nearly frozen.

“When I can’t pay you, how can you send the medicine to me?” Gholami said. He said that even though food and medicine were exempt from U.S. sanctions, it was a “Catch-22.”

Cameras are rarely allowed free reign in Iran but Gholami let ABC News inside the pharmacy.

Immediately we saw lines as we snaked our way behind the counter. In the back, we found that the pharmacy was low on many medications and had run out of several cancer drugs.

Gholami said that 40 people today had sought one particular cancer drug.

“If we don’t have,” he said. “Nothing.”

One man showed us a prescription for a loved one with leukemia. He had taken a cab from two hours away. Because of skyrocketing inflation here, we calculated that the ride had cost him more than $500.

He said he had been to more than 20 pharmacies before arriving at Gholami’s. When he reached the counter’s window, though, he was told to come back Saturday.

    • Blogs heat up about Valerie Jarrett's rumored role in alleged US, Iran secret talks

While rumors of an “October Surprise” -- purported secret talks between the United States and Iran -- appear to have done little to affect the outcome of the presidential election, new reports suggest Valerie Jarrett, President Obama’s senior adviser, may have been facilitating communication between the two adversaries.

The reports suggest that Jarrett, who was born in Iran to American parents and who served as senior adviser to Obama’s presidential campaign, may have held clandestine meetings, bringing together officials from the Obama administration and the Iranian regime.

October Surprise? Obama secret Iran deal cut

        Posted on October 4, 2012

        by Reza Kahlili:

Iran could announce a temporary halt to uranium enrichment before next month’s U.S. election in a move to save Barack Obama’s presidency, a source affiliated with high Iranian officials said today.

The source, who remains anonymous for security reasons, said a three-person delegation of the Obama administration led by a woman engaged in secret negotiations yesterday with a representative of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The delegation urged the Iranian leader to announce a halt to enrichment, even if temporary, before the Nov. 6 election, promising removal of some sanctions.

The source said the delegation warned that a Mitt Romney presidency would change the U.S. relationship with Iran regarding its nuclear program.

The U.S. representatives reminded the Iranians that President Obama has stood in front of Israel, preventing the Jewish state from attacking Iran over its illicit nuclear arms policy.

Yesterday’s meeting, which took place in Doha, Qatar, was coordinated by the Qatar monarchy, whose members attended at the request of the Obama administration.

Ali Akbar Velayati, the former Iranian foreign minister and current close adviser to the supreme leader on international affairs, secretly traveled to Qatar for the meeting. Velayati is wanted by Argentina for the Jewish community center bombing in Buenos Aires in 1994 that killed 85 people.

One Obama representative, the woman, who had met Velayati before, urged Velayati to announce a halt, even if it is only for a week or two, to uranium enrichment prior to the U.S. election, according to the source. The U.S. representatives promised the Obama administration quickly would remove some sanctions on the Iranian central bank and oil industry, with further collaboration after the election, the source said.

Yesterday’s secret meeting took place even as hundreds of merchants in Tehran marched on parliament to protest the collapsing Iranian currency and the Islamic regime’s financial support for the besieged Syrian government of Bashar al-Assad.

Riot police violently clamped down on black-market money changers while merchants in the sprawling bazaar closed their shops during the protest. With inflation soaring, Iranian merchants can’t sell their goods, for fear they won’t be able to restock their shelves.

Yesterday’s negotiation was an extension of secret negotiations begun in early January when, according to Iranian officials and a report by Fars News Agency, Obama requested collaboration with the Islamic regime through three different channels. The channels were a letter to the supreme leader, a message to the Iranian U.N. delegate and a direct message through Swiss Ambassador Livia Leu Agosti in Tehran in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Ministry officials, who quoted a message from Obama.

The Obama message said: “I didn’t want to impose sanctions on your central bank, but I had no options but to approve it since a Congress majority had approved the decision.”

Iran parliament to investigate blogger's death
By Yeganeh Torbati | Reuters – 1 hr 48 mins ago

DUBAI (Reuters) - Iran's parliament will investigate the death of a blogger in police custody, a lawmaker said on Sunday following international condemnation of the incident.

Sattar Beheshti was arrested in his home on October 30, rights groups reported, after receiving death threats. The 35-year-old who ran an anti-government blog died in custody, possibly as a result of torture, Amnesty International said in a statement last week.

The day before his arrest, Beheshti said he had been threatened.

"They sent me a message saying, 'Tell your mother she will soon be wearing black because you don't shut your big mouth'," Amnesty quoted him as saying.

The European Union's foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton said on Sunday she was deeply concerned by Beheshti's death in custody and urged Tehran to stop the repression of bloggers and internet activists.

"The EU expects the Iranian authorities to conduct a thorough enquiry into the case, in order to establish the exact circumstances of his death," Ashton said in a statement.

I do not know what to make of this, but why did Judge Jackson gave the rest, or most of the remaing judgements, to different judge(s), instead of assigning them to the new magistrate judge, Lawrence R. Leonard? How damaging the ruling was to Vringo that the magistrate, judge Lawrence R. Leonard, ruled in his first days in the case?

Would direct U.S.-Iran talks be bad for Israel?
Posted by Max Fisher on October 22, 2012

The full story behind The New York Times report, that the United States and Iran have agreed in principle to direct nuclear talks after the elections, may not come to light for some time. We covered the responses, the speculation, and the reasons for and against believing that talks are actually happening.

Conversation over the story is today coalescing around the question of what it all means for Israel. That discussion hits on some of the same issues that have surrounded American response to Iranian nuclear efforts, and reveals some of the foundational ideological differences that may inform how President Obama and Mitt Romney diverge on Iran, Israel and American foreign policy.

With the presidential foreign policy debate Monday night, some Republicans are using the story to reinforce a long-standing charge that Obama is too reliant on diplomacy and weak on supporting Israel. “If it’s accurate, it sounds like the U.S. is taking a position that we’re likely to jettison our allies,” GOP Sen. Rob Portman (Ohio) said Sunday. “The last thing we would want to do is abandon our allies on this and to make it a one-on-one negotiation.” Republican Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (S.C.) called the talks “a ploy by the Iranians” to buy time for uranium enrichment. Unnamed Israeli officials told the Times that they were “open” to direct talks, but the Israeli ambassador to the United States has since come out against them, calling them a “reward” for Tehran.

Given that seasoned foreign policy watchers can’t even agree on whether or not the leaked story helps Obama, Iran, and/or the likelihood of such talks succeeding, it’s difficult to ascertain the degree to which secret U.S.-Iran negotiations would be good or bad for Israel. But, as politicians begin to roll out categorical positions for or against, it’s worth exploring some of the implications.
