The defendants Motion: they are asking for the judgement to be less that the jury verdict, and they do not want to comply with the verdict, until after the judge makes his decision on their motions for a judgement of less money. They want an extension to comply extended to two weeks after the judge decides on the defendants motion, After the Judge's decision, the defendants have 14 days to make arrangements to pay Vringo, without being in contempt.
More crap for the judge to read & sign.
This does not mean that the defendants will get what they want.
It just means they can wait until the motion is resolved.

Likely because the judge also feels that there is unfinished business that needs to be cleaned up.

However, it also implies that Google can file infinite motions until a final ruling. The fear is that Google's law team can continue to throw out motions for months/years to come.
