I'm fairly new to this stock but was curious about the technical analysis. I am hoping that the CCI numbers might lead to an upswing over the next few quarters in retail and JCP seems almost reasonable at this time (I'd like the P/E ratio to be closer to 10 or 11 before I get in).
It seems that this board is mainly geared toward employees. In all honesty I went to a few stores today (Orlando/Daytona areas) and didn't see them doing loads of business considering there was a sale. In one store I managed to chat with the cashier while I bought a shirt, but she only made some odd smile when I asked about the company. After reading a few comments from this board I am wondering if she was just holding back what she would LIKE to say.
comresdo: "Seems like morale is pretty bad for the employees. From what I gather, they are cutting staffing and benefits, trying to squeeze more from what they got." >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> That's it in a nutshell. All of the cuts are an attempt at making things look good in the shortrun. Until they get the right buyers buying the right merchandise, put out ads that compel people to come to our stores, and cut the fat at the TOP, JCP is NOT going to improve.
