    One of the most important responsibilities all jcp team members share is maintaining the confidentiality of Company information. All non- public information and records concerning any aspect of the Company’s business or acquired by team members as a result of their employment are confidential.

    A team member may not disclose non- public Company information, including information about financial results, internal operations, to others without appropriate authorization.

    And this obligation to preserve jcp’s confidential information is ongoing, even after employment ends.
    Unauthorized disclosure of company information by a team member can have serious consequences, including:

    *Subjecting the team member to disciplinary action, with possible termination.
    *Allowing others to use our information for illegitimate purposes

    Here are some recent examples in which team members improperly disclosed Company information to third parties.
    • A team member who gave out pre - released store sales performance information
    • A team member who posted our company’s strategies
    • A team member who posted internal loss prevention statistics and ways to defeat detection.
    • A team member who resigned to work for a competitor and attempted to take company plans with him.

    • Hey, JCPman85:
      How about the team member who disclosed this:

      "The purging will continue till all the fat is trimmed. We're close to the 100k employed point and that's a good number. "

      Oh, that was you!

    • how 'bout those sales pennypuke ? didnt quite work out did it ?

    • You forgot one: A team member who posted almost verbatim what was said by Ron Johnson during one of his 25 day broadcasts. Oh.....wait.....that's right, it was YOU, doofus!

    • JCPenneymole blah blah blah
      //////////////////////////////
      So what? I for one will say what I want - whenever I want - to whomever I want - - - - got a problem with it - - - - do something about it !

    • Unauthorized disclosure of company information by a team member can have serious consequences, including:

      *Allowing others to use our information for illegitimate purposes*
      ///////////////////////////////////////////

      Do you read what you post????
      -------------------
      A serious consequence would be to "Allow others to use our information for illegitimate purposes"???????
      ----------------------------------
      That doesn't even make sense - - - but then again consider the source.

    • • A team member who resigned to work for a competitor and attempted to take company plans with him.
      /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

      That is something I would like to see - - -

      First - a "team member" who went to work for a competitor and actually believed any plan of RJ's was worth taking out the door.

      Second - any company that would believe any plan of RJ's was worth using - - - - - no need for action - such a company would soon be out of business anyhow!!!

    • • A team member who posted our company’s strategies
      /////////////////////////////////////////////

      So - RJ telling JCPenney's strategies would be subject to dismissal!!!!!!! IF ONLY THAT WERE TRUE!

    • posting internal loss prevention statistics and ways to defeat detection.
      ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

      You mean like what information you would get by Googling "loss prevention statistics and ways to defeat detection" - - - - - - -

    • Termination? They must be so afraid. Especially knowing that management sees them as expendable anyway.

    • "loss prevention"..."ways to defeat detection"

      DOESN'T TAKE A TEAM MEMBER TO DISCLOSE TO US ANYTHING!
      CEO created opportunity for plenty of new ways to enable people to easily see ways for others to steal, starting with cutting staff on floor, eliminating cash wraps and using ipads. Doesn't take much to realize that a person can walk out without paying for a pile of items - you guys don't have bags to give them. Sure, trust them! I'm sure people stole from your stores before, but now you might as well just smile as they walk right past you. And if you don't trust them, you sure will offend every honest customer you approach and they will never shop in your store again.
