Not a damned thing. Let 'em slide into the abyss. Despite jcpenneyman's claims that everyone who was laid off had no value--the wholesale slaughter of hardworking associates whose only sins were long and loyal service proved moral bankruptcy. I hope it's followed by the financial version.
I was a JCP customer for years. I did not like the change so I started going to Macy's. I've given JCP two more chances ant they've blown it both times. I go in to buy pants like Dockers and they never have my size. It's not like I wear an uncommon size...I wear a 36/30. Twice i left there and went to macy's to buy the same exact pants for basically the same price or cheaper when they were on sale. I will not go back to JCP ever again. It's hard if not impossible to win customers back after you lose them. JCP in finished imo.
If the CEO and most of the board members would resign and the new board would rebuke the old board's policies it may help or even save JCP...but I don't think that will happen so I think it's over for JCP....stopping the gay and lesbian ads won't help....the damage has already been done.
