If you want a coffee shop that offers coffee, espresso, light snacks, etc the fixturing is going to run 100 grand. What coffee company is going to put that up without knowing whether JCP will be around in five years? Do you think Penney can afford to do it?
Each Target and Walmart has a small restaurant. However, it may be difficult to get a chain such as McDonald's to come in due to the low number of customers. Instead, maybe just put up a simple coffee stand and just give the coffee away for free. At least this would help lure customers into the stores.
It's probably ok coffee............but jcp would just end up giving it away..........just like haircuts and eyeglasses..............funny how this "no service because i take down a huge paycheck" plan is leading to deeper and deeper losses.
