Seems to me that this can spike at any time. Their land the stores are on is worth more than $22.50 a share
The land is pledged to secure the Goldman Sachs loan. it will not be any part of a liquidation settlement involving the common stockj shareholders. If bankrupt it will go to goldman Sachs. The common stock value to have value must now represent the future profability of the company. For the real estate to be figured into the value of the stock JCP must pay off the debt.
YOU guys really dont get--most stock people who short buy insurance which means in most cases they buy several call options to protect there time on the shorts---ive shorted a stock and then made thousands when it turned and went up on my calls and dumped the shorts quickly---there is always a angle----you have to have golden balls to short and not buy calls///////////////////
The days of this stock reaching $25 are long gone. Shorts only have to cover the number of shares they shorted at market price and, with 40% of the shares outstanding being shorted...there is a fairly large consensus that this stock in not going in the direction toward $25 PPS. Just the opposite.
You my friend is either uninformed or not telling the truth. You know as well as I if you shorted @ 20.00 and when this goes to 40.00 you'll have a margin call prolly around 30.00 35.00 a share @ 40.00 you'll shot yourself . Now go away and play in the sand
