If you are so unhappy with your investment in J C Penney and unless we can get a Board who will not put their egos before the betterment of the Company, then maybe you should consider resigning for the damage Mr. Johnson did; sell your stock; and move on. Just don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Otherwise, I urge the current Board to meet and consider removing you from the Board
Shareholders at this time cannot afford you and other investors getting in a fight where they come in and take more of a short position than J C Penney already has. I truly believe there is an investment community always betting against you.
I believe we will continue to struggle to win over America because of the condition of our stores, the out-of-touch merchandise selection/availability, customer service and our image of not being a retail leader. And, until there is serious discussion with all stakeholders, absolutely nothing will improve.
I agree, but the problem I have is with him taking calls from vendors and yes, the projection is like what general told me, garbage in and garbage out......but even Ackman projections can be off to filter the result to his favor.
My opinion, someone listened to Ackman suggestion regarding Johnson and that was a total failure. If Ackman wants to run the company, then buy it out! And yes, It may be too late to save JCP, because no one has or is listening.
Radar250...very well written and I agree 100%. Being with the JCP company for over 35 years and a Store Manager for over 16 years. It is sad what has happened to our company...once again, great letter!
