Did back to school shopping this weekend at JCP. Daughter got all her skirts, leggings, shirts and shoes. The store was nice and busy and had everything we were looking for in school outfits and sizes. We also used our 15% coupon my wife got by email. :)
I was there also. Presented my credit card and, without asking, got 42% off my purchase (which was $761 - about average for the line I was on). Two sales clerks offered to carry all my bags to the car. After setting them carefully in the back seat the first clerk also checked my oil and radiator fluid. I love the new café with free coffee and pastries and my kids are nuts about the petting zoo. Name one other petting zoo in the US that has a baby rhino!! Sears and Kohls and Walmart? Forget about it. They don't even offer free massages or drinks while you browse the jewelry section. JCP forever.
You must have been in the same line as when I went back for my second carload. Clerk told me my purchases on the first was at 39%GM and the second at 41%, which would allow them to pay off the 2016 bond early. Thank goodness there was a Kohl's nearby with free wi-fi so I could download all my electronic rebates. Would have gone back for a third car load but my wife's free yoga class was over and she'd maxed out at the free juice bar.
Went to Wal-Mart, Target and could not find what I was looking for and the selection was poor but when I went to JCP I found what I was looking for. Good stock and selection of clothes and the quality was top-line. I was given very little discount so I opened a CC to get the 20% and paid it off at the same register. Very nice.....at Khols I would have to go back to customer service to accomplish. To entice customers back in the store in the next 2 days I got a coupon that will drive me back on 2-3 September. Very smart marketing.
