Sepsis Test -- They just don't get it...

I'm not a doctor or a scientist, but a science enthusiast and life long investor...
IMHO, NSPH surely must have the map to the Holy Grail with their sepsis assay... What is going on with this? Shouldn't hospitals be tripping over themselves to get this? What am I missing?
An article in this month's Scientific American titled "Shock to the System" by Maryn McKenna is aimed to heighten awareness of the tremendous toll that sepsis takes and the challenges that pharmaceutical companies face trying to find a drug to counteract the infection. A couple of eye-opening quotes:
"The condition which begins with aggressive immune system reaction to an infection, kills 18 million people around the world every year including around 260,000 in the U.S. By many estimates, sepsis - in its most severe form, septic shock - is the leading cause for death for intensive care patients in the U. S. and the 10th most common cause of death for everyone else in the country."

"Some of the most compelling data out there shows that only 50% of the patients with septic shock get appropriate antibiotics within six hours of first being seen by a health professional"...

Would appreciate serious comments on why NSPH is barely scratching the surface with their sepsis assay....

    All the very best,

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
