I have lost a little money on DLB, but I keep coming back to it. If you know how to read basic financials, this company sells itself, without the constant reminders from the "press".
I'll give the shorts some credit...to SHORT this stock with what it has in its books takes far more guts than I would ever have. Logic says the company rebounds from the overreaction to the whole tablet revenue jazz....wasn't Dolby's bread and butter anyway! They don't need the tablets to carry them like so many other tech stocks like MU do. Dolby is a good solid stock that will produce results. Look, if you shorts want a REALLY SOLID INVESTMENT TIP? GO SHORT MOLYCORP! Honestly, the most OVERVALUED POS ON THE ENTIRE EXCHANGE! They are selling a PIPEDREAM over there. MCP will CRASH and CRASH HARD! I had a short position in it, and was so frustrated I finally got out today. If you have more patience than I do, get out of DOLBY and GO OVER AND RESEARCH THIS MOLYCORP MESS!
This is crazy talk. Dolby has had a big correction, which was overdue. The company has not been in the forefront of new development, despite spending a lot in R&D. They needed a big shakeup; I just hope they can properly respond to the real world.
I can't understand this response....not on the forefront? All they do is produce good products, upgrading constantly! Their earnings are WELL UP YOY....there was no call for this correction in the first place, at least nothing from what I can see and read. The company is profitable, and diversified into enough products that one or two downtrends (such as pc sales) should NOT have a substantial affect on their bottom line. Let me ask you this, WHAT ELSE would you like Dolby to do? Zero Debt, Cash in the bank, great reputation and good solid foundation. Everybody needs DOLBY who needs sound....
