50 cents Eurp per ordinary share.
So it is 25cents per share Euro in ADR.
At 1.4 exchange rate we get 35cents Euro.
About 6% yield.

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Hellenic Telecommunitations Organization SA (OTE), or OTE, the Greek full-service telecommunications provider, Thursday reported a fall into loss for the fourth quarter of 2009 and said it is cutting its dividend to EUR0.50 per share to preserve its future capital investment potential.
When is ex-dividend date??
Thanks!
Mike
End of June, so we have a quite a hold.
Sorry my message was not clear-
50 cents Euro per ordinary share was declared.
1 ADR=1/2 ordinary share.
So it is 25cents per share Euro in ADR shares.
At 1.4 exchange rate we get 35cents in Dollar per share.
About 6% yield.
What is the withholding percentage for the divvy - 15% or 30%?
Thus, the net yield will be in the 4% yield. Still higher than money in the bank; can claim as tax credit, if that is some consolidation.
Nice to get a 6% yield, but there are two negatives here:
1. They fell into a loss in the 4th quarter
2. They are cutting their dividend
It's never a good sign when a company has to cut its dividend.
I agree, but remember the situation we are in.
They are currently pricing the entire region for an absolute Armageddon.
OTE is cheap compared to many telecom companies in Europe and has an absolute monopoly in the region they are servicing.
I think DT will just buy out OTE outright most probably for $12 per share.
