I am not saying I have inside info, because I don't and if I had any, I wouldn't bring it up here... having said that, I just want you to know that the hipe around the staccato platform is big in israel, wnd I heard many engineers and developers talking about how teva will make staccato its new growth engine, because regular generics are no longer profitable as it use to be. The patented staccato technology will allow teva to take existing drugs and differentiate them from the generic market, and creat value through staccato. Alexza knew that, and that is why they didn't sell!!! Just wait another 2 years, this is a 10 bagger at the least!
There is a huge difference between TEVA and ALXA equity... to me, ALXA has a 10 bagger potential but as a logical investor I will sell long before it reaches such hgihts... I think ALXA is a screaming buy under 5 $ and my personal target price to sell IS 15 $. However, if the fundamentals will develop in such a way that my target will rise significantly, I will keep half of my position.
The teva deal is clear evidence that an offer was made. Teva gave them in pure cash 60% of their market cap. And 300% of their market cap in future milestones. And royalties. And 25m loan. Dont you think it would have been easier to buy them out and enjoy 275 million tax benefit? Sure there was an offer, but everybody involved realized that the gap between current market cap and true value is too much for a deal to happen now. So they will let value float up and then probably make another offer. By the way, the loan agreement is in a way a partial buyout if you look at it closely
Have you ever played the video game Dig Dug? You are like the character in the video game pumping up all of the Pooka's.
I shall name you "Pookamar1778". Good luck Pookamar1778 with your pumping of ALXA.
By the way... does it not seem probable to you that a company with proven technology for fast drug delivery with nothing in the market to match its accuracy, reliability and ease of use, and also 2-3 approved or nda'd drugs can be worth 750 million dollars market cap? You really don't believe that? So sell your shares and go short... good luck to you.
