Someone just bought a bunch of Feb $18 calls and July $15 calls

Interesting - I like to look at it on the buy side - but then (smile) I guess someone just sold a bunch too.

    • Not true, there has been very little option action today, no Feb 18 calls, they are worthless, not any bids for Feb 17 or 18 and no July 15 calls have traded today. I guess you are not a regular options player. IMGN is back to even, good to see it's holding up here after 4 down days in a row.

      • The reason I brought it up, is that I too would have though there would have been little value in Feb $18 options - there may be a problem on Yahoo - but if you bring up the Yahoo Options screen you will see 160 contracts under the volume traded on the Feb $18's and 161 traded on the July $15's. The unusual thing about it on the Feb's is that the volume was showing the same as the open interest numbers - it showed a last trade price of a dime. And to answer you query - yes, I am new to the board, and I don't trade a whole lot of options - but I do buy some, especially when I think there is the chance for a significant jump. As noted on a post from yesterday - I bought April $15 and July $16's on this stock yesterday. Do you have a different Options view that shows no action on the first ones I mentioned?

        Sentiment: Buy

      • I don't do any options......I hold shares until I want to sell, never forced into any move.....the machines run wild these days and often overdue on upside and downside......just buy real shares.......

        Sentiment: Buy
