the company with a block buster drug or the company that enables the block buster drug to be created?
If it's repeatable (and I have no doubt that it is), we are looking at a block buster factory. We just need to stay independent and get 1 or 2 wholly owned drugs to market. I wonder if the FDA will give IMGN drugs preferred treatment going forward due to the limited toxicity profile.
Yes, our own blockbuster is still a few years away but this is a great time to start loading up. My IMGN holdings are moving from the speculative portion of my portfolio to the growth portion gradually.
Good points, I do think the downside is lower since T-DM1 has been approved. a 901 failure could provide a minor setback, or hit to confidence, but I think the newer drugs will be a big winner and we never know about the partnered drugs. Great risk/reward going forward for years to come and always the potential for an acquisition if someone wants to step up, but I don't think they will sell on the cheap.
