I am now selling all RES holdings. RES is a great company, but at the end of the day, any ma or pa can enter this pumping business. It doesn't take a lot of expertise nor are there any significant barriers to entry. The RES CEO even stated that the fracking boom has attracted a lot of capital and there is now a lot of excess service capacity available which will hurt pricing for quite a while. (In my opinion for ever). Other segments in the oil and gas service industry are now more attractive because they have much more significant barriers to entry, including proprietary technology and expertise. RES will likely disappoint going forward.
