From what I just read that Northeaster got its energy from Wilma, go figure. That wave that is moving towards the NW will take about a week or so & from what understand the Westerly by that time will be moving back up towards the center to the States. The waters around FL from the middle of the state down are still extremely warm. Hurricane season does not end till the end of Nov. Ask any weatherperson, late season Hurricanes can be just as viscous as early to mid season ones.
What those scientists have said about the shift of the earth axis has merit. Even though the Jakartas earthquake moved the earths axis by 6 inch to the east it seems to have affected the weather. Remember the earth wobbles around its axis so that minuet change is exaggerated when applied to a wobble. Warmer summers with warmer winters is my guess.
