I for one could care less about the downgrade. I've been long on DDE since it was DVD. Bought thousands yeras ago. With the split, got two companies. You should have been here when it was under 10. Living here sure helps. All the cup races are sold out, or will be sold. The Sat and Fri races are more affordable so they are selling tickets pretty quick too. Dover is a hard track(drove it) compared to it's sister track,Rockingham(drove it too). people love to watch the race on Sunday and drive on it on Monday with Monster Racing.
They have good management. Even with the death of the owner, Rollins, they had strong people. Mcglynn is very smart and aggressive. Melvin Joseph is a good buisnessman and is VERY active in construction here in DE.
As far as the slots go, they have a LOT of buisness year round. With the smoking ban, they DID lose buisness, but it has picked up. It's hard to get a parking spot close. With the adition of the hotel, fights, etc bring more revenue. I don't like them buying other tracks, but, they saw it as a power play since NASCAR is /was growing so fast. If they want to downgrade, that's OK by me. Time to buy more after it drops. Called everaging. Good luck to all.
