for DD. Sure, the slow economy has been a small factor for the decrease in their casino play but I believe that's not the only reason. I believe the number 1 reason would be because last year they had their techs put the DEATH CHIP in their machines prior to the starting of the Phase VI casino expansion. They are paying the least amount allowed by DE state law, which I believe is 85%, in order to help keep their revenues and shareholder value up. The end result is less playing time and a contribution to Dover Downs! Who wants to play slots that continue to rape you of your hard earned money!? If you play their $1 slots, the majority of the time it won't pay any credits until you've spun the thing 18 to 20 times and then only paying out 15 credits! 20 spins, max bet of $3 = $60 to earn $15... what a joke!!! The $5 and $10 slots are just as bad! I guess that's how they got the 24,700,000M to pay towards the expansion for the first quarter?
Now, another reason would be because of the competition from Harrington, which has recently been renovated (20 min. south of Dover), Delaware Park (30 min. North) and Harrah's (45 min. North). Maryland has passed their bill for slots and rumor has it that the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge Md will be the first to recieve them which is 1 hr and 20 mins. from Dover. Well, if that happens DD will take a big loss! I know for a fact that Harrah's in PA has already taken business away from DD and Delaware Park.
More to come, but for now, I only see this stock going down!!!
