That's roughly a 4:1 ratio $ wise. It's no BALANCE at all! You are heavily favoring HFC. Now do I think you should favor HFC...YES. If I owned WNR I don't think I would hold more then 50% of it when earnings are reported. For one, they will take a big hit on assets and book value. Other items abound. Forward looking very positive! Just not sure how the market will react. But WTI refineries are the place too be right now. GLTY
Dave, I am out of WNR. Sold my calls a short time back before they expired. Decided to go with HFC for a change. Both stocks are doing great this year.
Nor... Now that sounds like a real plan..... sheesh!!!! 4 mil plus shares TODAY... wonder how long this new.. if that is the case can be held quiet... I look on the nasdaq to see if any filings had occurred.. thought you were out of WNR... unless??
I hope some ( hint - hint ) took advantage of the gift from the stock trading Gods to get back in on the drop , stayed above $18 -- gotta love it. :) :)
Bounces with the S & P .... who said to keep and eye on the S & P earlier today ????
Just a friendly reminder it was too soon to get out of WNR . Now if this was late March into April , that could be different.
If the newbies look at last years EPS & the 2012 pace of the crack spread , we could see a push-out of the 2012 top. Perhaps after the start of the U S A driving season. It's way too early to talk top.
We still have to get past the earnings drop , then back in hours - or days.
Trust me , I know the pain of chasing a stock.
The old - could of , should of. Ouch.
WOW!!!!!! Where did that come from????
As you know, I own HFC and not WNR. I really think HFC is a great buy.
But, when it comes to a buyout, I want a piece of the victum. They usually do better at time of the deal!
