BATS, DirectEdge halt trades of Nasdaq listings

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- The BATS and DirectEdge exchanges have disabled trading in all Nasdaq-listed securities due to . BATS and DirectEdge joined the New York Stock Exchange in halting trading of Nasdaq-listed stocks and options. BATS cited issues at the Nasdaq, saying in an alert that its systems are operating normally. DirectEdge's said its systems are operating normally, and its move comes "in conjunction with the street wide halt."
