    WNR is a Great Company

Good Mgt and good Stock. I wonder is we will get a spinoff or future buyout. WNR is very well positioned i think we could see 40.00 -50.00 +++ and thats without a buyout

      • Hi David, welcome back. NTI was a nice expansion for WNR and should help the PPS as it already has. The real payday is likely out a year when they MLP the refineries and combine the logistics. In the mean time, WNR now has another $550 million in dept and used $200 million cash previously targeted to the repurchase plan. Looks like they are back in heavy dept and due for some dilution come 6/2014.

      • Mgt has always done a good job and is shareholder friendly. Still from a valuation and risk standpoint, paying over 40 pps seems expensive relative to the risk and earnings and size of the operation. VLO/HFC/TSO/MPC would be better options IMO at the current price. I'm not saying it can't get there, but for the risk, I think there are better places to buy. I missed the current run, but if I were in, I would be a seller here. Still, WNR probably still has a little juice left in the tank, the question is how much. Also, I wouldn't bet on a special at the end of the year given the third quarter was not kind. I'd rather see them keep the cash on hand to cover any shocks the market may throw their way. But I'm ok with the repurchase program in the interim.
On the flip side, I've been nibbling on DK as it seems cheap for the moment. I've been swing trading RDN...buy under 13, sell around 13.5....and have bait set to pick up some XTEX.

I quit watching my F because its putting me to sleep, but my GNW is nice sleepy winner.
