      The only thing that is "proprietary" is the data set. Which means that btx is selling btx its own data and then selling it back.
      Unless mikey did something to alter the expression, there's no other i/p, until someone finds a "novel" "non-obvious" and "non-natural" application.
      Leasing the data set can generate cash. At present rates, over 10 years btx will generate the cash to get back what it spent acquiring the technology. O wait.... that was done by dilution.

        According to Cox's latest article and I quote him
        "LifeMap has developed unique algorithms capable of data mining the BioTime information. As this analysis is performed and opportunities are found, BioTime will have the opportunity to develop them. If they do not fit with BioTime's program, LifeMap will then seek to commercialize the discovery through other means, which will also profit BioTime."

        Also interesting from Cox's latest article
        "They now have more than a hundred million gene data points covering all the basic cell types of the human body. This information is comparable to having all the underground mineral data in the world."
