i've thrown the gauntlet down.
debate
me.
i want the debate to take place on yahoo. (that's
where all the action is anyway)
and there are
rules.
Present your argument as logically and concisely as you
can .. why btim is a fraud... (The argument is not
why it was an overvalued stock...) But if you claim
it is a scam!! or a fruad!!! I want us to debate
this claim.
secondly, show.. as much as i
appreciate and respect your opinions and your research (I
do) this is not about the value of hextend versus
hespan.. okay?
THIS DEBATE IS ABOUT BTIM BEING A SCAM
OR NOT!!
WHO IS UP TO THIS CHALLENGE????
It is
time, that the shorts are disabused of their
fantasies.
it is time, that the shorts, learn what the meaning
of "I KNOW" is! I KNOW who will win this debate.
come on..... if you are so damn sure of yourselves...
let's go for it.
or are you a bunch of
wimps??
thought so.
I'm sorry I didn't acknowledge your post in a
more timely manner. I just wanted to say I appreciated
your post. It was very informative. I love solid posts
like that - and.. If you are of Italian descent as
your name implies - mille grazie!
I am just curious what sort of response you got from the people at BTIM when you gave them your suggestions.
All Nasdaq market makers can short stock without
borrowing it legally provided that they meat SEC Brokerage
equity capital requirements. This practise is LEGAL.
What is illegal is for a brokerage to short stock for
a clients benefit without borrowing it first. This
is called naked shorting and is
illegal.
Removal of shares from Margin doesn't stop Naked
Shorting. It stops legal shorting. Tell your broker that
you want your shares held in Type 1 (Cash) not Type 2
(margin).
I like your comments on Victoria ... I haven't
spoken to her in years but she seemed nice then too.
I didn't know you could take time from your research to lurk on this board. strange does not even begin to describe it. Tell P.it won't work.
nicht sprechen ze bitte.
i was close to my prediction of a BTIM up day. I'll predict a down day for tomorrow. Of course, I'm hoping it'll go up tho.

I put back up the webpage for my bot that played
IRC poker against humans for awhile last year. I used
to live on IRC, until I discovered
BTIM.

The price of the stock is going to do what it's
going to do.I'm sure short selling is part of the
problem with this stock but we're also dealing with a lot
of unknowns with respect to the future of a company
with no product or service to sell at this time and a
very mixed future earnings estimate. There is nothing
wrong with short selling a stock if you don't believe
their story as reason to make money nor is there
anything wrong with being long if you believe in their
future. I'm long and believe the story. But I can kick
myself for missing the downward trend and selling out
aroun $20. I'm in at $10 followed up to $27 and back
down. Once there is some clear signal I'll either bail
out or triple or qurdruple my position. FDA review
results is probably that point.

It amazed me to find nearly every "hot button" issue
on this board in a single, 20-month-old article, but
there it is. Read. Slowly. *Calmly*.
(Retreating
to a safe distance to watch the fireworks begin...)
Any stockbroker under 5'8" working in the nude
should be arrested for indecent exposure. All this
speculation and for what? Face it, we are all losing our
shirts(or blouses)....picked a bad stock and no amount of
crying, weeping, or gnashing of teeth will bring it back
up. Only time, and luck with the FDA, marketing of
the product, etc. will bring our money back. I am
down 60% and still hanging on. I don't believe there
is a bogeyman illegally shorting the stock and
driving it down...get a grip....this is gambling, just
like Vegas or the Lotto. You pays your money and you
takes your chances.
