much of the u.a.w. workforce at the v.w. plant are former pig employees. they have taken "their talents" to v.w. and the results are noteworthey. while the hotsauce truck impersonaters lose market share the tennesseans gain. nothing unprecended here for those winners. and get this: the v.w. plant is already setting it's sights on expansion. why? because they're not stupid. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee hahahahahaha
Mose!!! I'm so proud of you, YOU"RE FINALLY SEEING THE LIGHT!!! I'm pleased to see you praising the "UNION-FREE" VW Chattanooga plant. Yes, great things are acheived without the UAW!!! Not calling your former PB brothers SCABS is a major milestone for you!!! Note the words of your great Senator Corker:
Sen. Bob Corker to VW: No union at Tennessee plant
NASHVILLE -- U.S. Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., says he has told Volkswagen officials that he thinks it would be "highly detrimental" to the German manufacturer if the United Auto Workers organizes its Chattanooga assembly plant. "I was asked to give input, and I did," Corker said.
The advice stemmed from his experience trying to negotiate with the union during the 2008 federal bailout of GM and Chrysler, he said. "I certainly shared with [VW] I couldn't see how there was any possibility it could be a benefit to them to enter into a contract with UAW," said Corker, a former Chattanooga mayor.
He stressed he is not "anti-union" and said he often employed union craftsmen when he ran a construction company.
But the UAW "breeds #$%$ versus they' relationship, and I just don't think it's healthy for a company to be set up in that regard," Corker said.
rick, here in tennessee (f.y.i.) corker is known as "amigo bob" because of his use of mexican labor instead of americans. you see, he owns a construction co. and is one of the richest senators in d.c. i'm a little surprised you are just now quoting amigo bob. while your remarks are true and accurate(quite unlike you) they are not new news. now, here's the truth ricky: the folks in chattanooga have not yet been offered the oppertunity to join the u.a.w. v.w. has stated on record they don't care whether the workplace is union or not. all their experience from europe is union and positive. they see the goodness of a union contract both to the company side and the worker side. since you have no record of working or being a union member i must tell you your background with unions and work is a clone to corker. z-e-r-o. at this time, as far as i know, there is no vote scheduled. i tend to believe it will come to pass. it didn't happen in tennessee for over 3 years. v.w. hasn't been on land in tennessee for that long. "don't get ahead of yourself" and don't be surprised if the joint goes union. regardless, the pete folks are spending their pete pensions and working for v.w. why? because they can! do the laid off texans have a pension to help them? of course not. does wheeeeeeeeeeeee the pig do ANYTHING to assist the out of work? N0 is the answer. ricky, the truth is i see the light and always have. my nearly 2k pension deposit went in on 1/1/13 just like always. the same time your stock was falling. again. better you than me. since i've retired my pension has paid me over 100k. your stock went from 112 to the 20's a share. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell which is better. but an idiot can't tell. can you tell rickey? wheeeeeeeeeeeeee the pig knows. the first of every month all living eligible employees of u.a.w. local 1832 get a nice check. for sleeping in! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee did you get a new ice scraper and alarm clock for xmas? you have miles to travel before you rest. i'm retired. i think i'll rest. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:) lololololololol
