I know what you're saying. Do you think they bought before the ex-div to get it, but then they
would be losing and so they short after the ex-div?
Anyway I sold, because I got disgusted that I didn't sell in the morning on the last two days
when I was making a very nice profit and it closed at the low of the day. 2 wasted days.
I bought KMP close to the low of the day and hope to sell at 80.14 on Monday for a nice
I was looking at PF and I read where Zachs has a hold on KRFT and a strong buy on PF
and yet KRFT is so much cheaper. I don't get it.
what are you talking about? do you know what short covering is? if "they" were covering, the price would be going up. what is going on if anything is pure shorting.
Definition of 'Short Covering'
Purchasing securities in order to close an open short position. This is done by buying the same type and number of securities that were sold short. Most often, traders cover their shorts whenever they speculate that the securities will rise. In order to make a profit, a short seller must cover the shorts by purchasing the security below the original selling price.
My opinion- do your own due diligence as well: there is no way to know of course, however I do strongly believe it is crippled because of 3rd qtr. div skip
investors have a lot of choices. dependability and predictability were attractive factors of holding this stock. the board of directors screwed this up. however it is possible that there is a method to their madness and this is pure speculation on my part- if the next div announce is delayed by say three weeks, and then the next one after that is delayed by another 3 weeks etc etc., they could conceivably wrap around into 4th quarter of 2014 and effectively eliminate an entire div payment- get away with paying only 4 divs in 5 qtrs.? Pure speculation on my part, however one thing is for certain-I no longer trust this stock to be a reliable div payer anymore with the mischief we have suffered through in the last month. I think the malaise of the stock price speaks for itself. If there are not exceptional earnings reported at the end of this month, this now crippled three legged donkey we are riding is going to get really hobbled
