Actuate Corporation Message Board

    Buy-out or No Buy

At a share price of $5, if Actuate isn't bought soon, then I doubt if any company is interested in them. The acquirer could pay a 60% premium and it would be $8. Double would be $10.

Maybe we are all too optimistic on this dog.

Also did Nico sell this usual 120,000 shares this week?

    • who ever buys ACTU, will have a " strategic fit" ,need....... not a big client base need,, like BOBJ or COGN was, along with big revenues...........ACTU provides decades of growth , the newest trends & tools ,here today........not a bad story , for a "super big player" , who wants that now, & get the team players with it.............The buy out will happen on their time clock, not ours.......same rule for me..........Long from $1.82......

      • Richard,

Give it up already, stop the lying.
First of all nobody cares what you paid for your stock.
        * for the record it was about $4 per share, which was the stock price when you first showed up here three years ago.

Second of all, you've been pushing the same nonsense about "buyout" for three years straight. In all that time you've never made the effort to learn about Actuate, it's products or its customers.

So you've basically wasted three years here making very little money and misleading who knows how many innocent people who come here to this message board looking for accurate information about the company. I hope you can find something more productive to do with your time during the next three years.

      • Decades of growth? Actuate hasn't grown in the past eight years.

These guys don't have a strategy, but BIRT. The rest of the company is stuck in nowhere's land.
